Before using the dock or pool, all handlers and dogs must complete a one-time Intro to Dock Diving Orientation. This ensures every visitor understands our safety protocols, handler expectations, and facility-specific rules. We offer two session types based on experience level, each with 30- or 60-minute options:
1. Intro To Dock For Beginners - For First-Time Dock Divers
This is a private orientation session with a facility instructor, ideal for dogs and handlers new to dock diving who are interested in learning more. This session is instructor-guided.
Session Length Options:
30 Minutes (Intro support and light coaching)
60 Minutes (Extended support, multiple reps, more instruction)
This session includes:
Complete walkthrough of safety rules, dock protocols, and facility policies
Instructor-guided introduction to the dock, ramp, and pool
Assessment of your dog’s comfort level around water and equipment
Help with entering and exiting the ramp.
Personalized support to help your dog explore and engage at their own pace
This option is required for first-time dock divers or any dog not yet confident around the pool.
2. Intro To Dock Experienced Session - For Teams with Dock Diving Experience, New to Our Facility
This 30- or 60-minute session is designed for handlers and dogs who already have experience in dock diving but are visiting our facility for the first time. It’s focused on getting you familiar with our setup, rules, and expectations, but does not include instructor coaching.
Session Length Options:
This session includes:
Complete walkthrough of safety rules, dock protocols, and facility policies
Private dock time with your dog for the remainder of your session
No dog or handler may use the dock or pool—whether for rentals, lessons, or events—without completing an orientation and receiving instructor clearance.
