NOTICE OF RISK AND ACCEPTANCE

Participation in dog sports and water-based activities, including dock diving, swimming, and training, involves inherent and unavoidable risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, bodily injury, illness, property damage, drowning, dog bites, scratches, allergic reactions, and slips or falls.

By entering the property or participating in any way—whether actively, as an observer, guest, or minor—you fully accept all associated risks, and agree to the terms outlined in this release and the facility rules.

DEFINITION OF RELEASEES

For this agreement, the term “Releasees” refers to: Country Road Canines, LLC, Triple Play Dog Sports, and all associated individuals and entities, including but not limited to their owners, officers, employees, independent trainers, agents, volunteers, and property owners. This also includes any representatives or affiliates involved in the operations, maintenance, or facilitation of services on the property.

PARTICIPATION AND ACCESS TERMS

I understand and agree that Country Road Canines, LLC and Triple Play Dog Sports, along with their staff, owners, volunteers, independent trainers, and the property owner(s), retain the right to deny access to the property or services at any time, for any reason deemed necessary, including but not limited to:

  • Health concerns (dog or human)

  • Safety risks

  • Behavioral concerns

  • Non-compliance with rules or instructions

This right applies to participants, handlers, guests, and spectators alike. Access to restricted zones—including the dock, pool, training field, and staff-only areas—is prohibited without the approval of the property owner. Entry onto the property implies complete agreement to this waiver and all facility policies.

MINOR PARTICIPATION POLICY

Children under the age of 15 are not allowed on the dock or in the pool under any circumstances. Children ages 15 to 18 may only participate as a handler if:

  • They have prior swimming experience

  • They have been approved by an instructor

  • They attend the Intro to Dock Diving orientation with a parent or legal guardian

Minors who meet the above criteria and are approved will be designated as a Triple Play Dog Sports Jr. Handler.

Parent or Guardian Waiver for Minors: If the participant is under 18, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor. I understand the nature and risks of canine and aquatic activities, believe the minor is qualified to participate, and take full responsibility. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims arising from the minor’s participation, including all costs and legal fees.

ORIENTATION REQUIREMENT

Before using the dock or pool, all handlers and dogs must complete the required Intro to Dock Diving Orientation. This session includes:

  • Safe entry and exit procedures

  • Emergency protocols

  • Rules for the dock and pool area

  • Dog behavior assessments

  • Equipment handling and handler conduct

  • Review of all current rules, safety standards, and policies

No individual or dog may use the facility unsupervised until this orientation is complete and instructor clearance has been given.

DOG BEHAVIOR, SAFETY, AND CONTROL

  • Dogs must be healthy, current on required vaccinations, and free from illness (e.g., coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, parasites).

  • Dogs must never be forced into the water—no tossing, dragging, or coercion is allowed.

  • Only floating toys are allowed in the pool.

  • Dogs must remain leashed until securely on the dock, and leashed again before exiting.

  • Retractable leashes are not permitted.

  • No feeding dogs within 3 hours before swim time.

  • Life vests are strongly recommended for dogs new to swimming or dock diving.

  • One dog and no more than two people are allowed on the dock at a time unless the property owner grants permission.

  • Barking is allowed up to 5 minutes on the dock. Dogs that bark excessively while waiting must be crated securely inside a vehicle.

  • Dogs must wait in a secured vehicle when not actively using the pool. Leashing or crating dogs outside the vehicle is not allowed. This policy helps ensure all dogs, including those who are reactive or anxious around other dogs, feel safe and comfortable during their visit.

  • Dogs must not chase, stalk, or approach livestock, chickens, or other animals on the property.

FACILITY RULES AND CONDUCT

  • No food, drinks, or treats are allowed on the dock or in the pool.

  • No running, diving, or horseplay on the dock.

  • Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are prohibited anywhere on the property.

  • Clean up after your dog— scoopers and waste buckets are provided.

  • All dock gates must remain closed and latched when in use.

  • Use of the training field or any field equipment is not permitted.

  • Female dogs in heat are not allowed on the property at any time.

SPECTATORS AND GUESTS

  • All spectators and guests must remain in designated areas and follow staff instructions at all times.

  • Anyone stepping onto the dock or pool area must have a signed waiver on file and complete the Intro to Dock Diving Session

  • Spectators and non-handlers are still considered participants in terms of liability and are subject to this waiver.

  • Unauthorized access to any restricted area—including the dock, pool, kennels, training field, or staff-only zones—is strictly prohibited.

  • All individuals are on the property at their own risk.

OUTSIDE TRAINER POLICY

Only instructors contracted with or approved by Country Road Canines, LLC or Triple Play Dog Sports may use the dock or pool for coaching, client sessions, or group training.

Outside trainers are strictly prohibited from using the facility for:

  • Private lessons

  • Group classes

  • Swim instruction

  • Any paid or unpaid coaching activities

Violations will result in immediate removal and permanent denial of access to the property.

PAYMENT, CANCELLATION, AND LATE ARRIVAL POLICY

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking.

  • A valid credit card must be kept on file for all sessions and for any incidental charges.

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a refund.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are nonrefundable, but credit may be used to reschedule for a future session.

  • Arrivals more than 15 minutes late are considered a no-show and will result in forfeiture of the session without refund.

  • A $50 cleaning fee will be charged for any dog elimination (urine, feces, or vomit) in the dock or pool area.

VACCINATION AND HEALTH POLICY

I certify that my dog(s) meet the following health standards:

  • Current on required vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP/DAPP, and Bordetella

  • Free of illness and parasites

  • Puppies must be a minimum of 4 months old and fully vaccinated

  • Dogs 2+ years old may provide current titer results in place of standard vaccine records

  • Records must be submitted and kept updated

  • Records can be submitted via this form (below) or by email to countryroadcanines@gmail.com

To avoid last-minute cancellations, we must have a copy of your dog’s current shot records, including expiration dates, before entering the property. Dogs are not allowed on the premises without proof of vaccination.

MEDIA RELEASE

I grant permission for Country Road Canines, LLC and Triple Play Dog Sports to photograph or record me, my dog(s), and any guests in attendance. These photos/videos may be used for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes without compensation or additional consent.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By signing this waiver, I agree to fully and forever release and hold harmless Country Road Canines, Triple Play Dog Sports, and all associated individuals, including owners, employees, agents, independent trainers, volunteers, and property owners, from all liability related to:

  • Injury to myself, my dog(s), my guests, or property

  • Death or illness resulting from participation

  • Damages caused by my dog(s)

  • All risks associated with being on the premises

This waiver applies to me and any of my heirs, representatives, assigns, or family members, and is binding without limitation.

SEVERABILITY AND GOVERNING LAW

I understand that this agreement, including all rules, waivers, and policies, is intended to be as broad and enforceable as permitted under California law. If any term, condition, or portion of this agreement is found by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full legal force. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and any legal dispute arising from participation or presence at the facility must be resolved in a California court with appropriate jurisdiction. I willingly submit to that jurisdiction.
